This is my first time working with dichroic. It turned out alright, but I´m not sure this is going to be a favorite glass of mine. It is also a bit loud and sparkly for my liking. I still loooove my Bullseye, though, and the stash of bullseye rods are ever growing(-:.

Someone at the american lampworking forum, Lampworketc, requested a tutorial for making cabs to bezel set. I thought of a technique I came up with last year and suggested that one. The technique is for these cabs:



Well, a few people asked for some kind of tutorial, so I took some pictures during beadmaking, wrote down the directions and put it all together.

Playing with Bullseye

I have been playing with Bullseye lately, and I´m totally loving the colours you can get from it. I made this bracelet out of some of the encased beads I´ve made using Bullseye.

Loooong sea urchins

So I´m still making sea urchins. The last couple of days, I´ve begon making them longer, though. I still really enjoy this style of beads and have more ideas to try out. I love my new Lauscha colours; they are so rich in colour and very nice to work in the flame. I´ve read somewhere on lampwork etc, that Lauscha only ever made one batch of Steel blue back in 1997, I think it was! Uargh, what if they run out some day and are not able to reproduce it?

The purple sea urchin is made of effetre purple and is the only one up for sale. The blue one has found its place around my neck.

Støt brysterne indsamling

For lidt tid siden valgte jeg at støtte Lene´s indsamling til Kræftens Bekæmpelses Støt Brysterne. Lene havde udloddet en smuk halskæde og i dag blev vinderen udtrukket. Jeg vandt! Jubii! Jeg vinder ellers aldrig noget, men denne gang var lykken med mig. Glæder mig til at se den smukke, lyserøde dame in person.
